Traditional Acupuncture
An ancient practice with modern benefits
Traditional acupuncture has been used in Eastern medicine for centuries. It involves the insertion of ultra-fine needles into carefully selected points around the body to stimulate the nervous system. This process encourages your body to release its own natural painkillers – endorphins and serotonin – to reduce discomfort, promote relaxation, and support overall wellbeing.
Common uses include:

Dry Needling
A modern, targeted approach to pain relief
Dry needling is a Western technique used to treat musculoskeletal pain and trigger points. Unlike traditional acupuncture, dry needling targets the specific site of pain or dysfunction, aiming to release muscle tightness, reduce inflammation, and restore movement.
It’s often used in combination with physiotherapy for conditions like:
Does It Hurt?
It’s one of the questions we hear most often – and the honest answer is: no, it shouldn’t.
The needles are extremely fine, and while you might feel a slight tingling, dull ache, or mild twitch as the body responds, most clients feel calm and relaxed during treatment. Some even nod off!
You may experience mild soreness or bruising around the needle sites, but this usually settles within 24–48 hours.
